Land patent, 1874.

Land patent No. 39197 for 80 acres in Ionia County (Mich.). The patent was originally granted to William King as a military bounty for service in the War of 1812. The land was later assigned to Nathaniel D. Hunter, William Edmeston, and Mead. The grant was ceded to Mead on Oct. 20, 1874. The printed patent is illustrated with the American flag and an original seal. It was signed by Andrew Johnson, President, Edward O'Neil, Secretary, and M. Granger, Recorder. The patent was recorded in v. 90, p. 408 at Newaygo (Mich.) and received on Aug. 7, 1874, as recorded in Book 13, p. 132 by W. Persons, Registrar.
